You’ll spend the day geting lots of hands on practice at car photography, sharing the techniques of a professional car photographer on location. You’ll need to bring along your own cameras, but there will also be chance to get hands on with the latest Canon 7D DSLR and other Canon cameras, plus the range of Canon EOS lenses. Here’s a rough schedule for the day and highlights of the event:

  • Supercars provided by 6th Gear Experience including Lamborghini & Ferrari
  • The latest Elinchrom Ranger location lighting from The Flash Centre
  • Indoor locations at The Yorkshire Air Museum, so we’re not weather dependant
  • Outside location shooting on the Elvington Test Track
  • Techniques we’ll be teaching and giving you the oportunity to practice include:

  • The anatomy of a location car photo shoot
  • Choosing the location and preparing the car & equipment
  • Shooting cars using Elinchrom lighting, the whole car & working out details
  • Action photography, the different types of action shots including rig shots, panning, head-on, tracking shots and much more
  • Who will be there?

    Experts on hand will include:

  • Car photographer Neill Watson, shooting cars and transportation professionally across the UK and Europe.
  • Staff from The Flash Centre giving advice and tips on lighting and grip equipment
  • Canon UK Pro expert staff demosntrating the latest DSLR’s including the Canon 5D Mk2 and the stunning new Canon 7D
  • The day is open to just twelve people and lunch in the air museum is provided. For full details, go to The Flash Centre’s booking page or call Graham Fox on 01132 470937 or Neill Watson on 07812 766760.

    Desert Greetings,

I so wish I lived in the UK or had the means to travel for this photographic opportunity. I am an avid photographer (learning to go pro) and I love cars too.
Looking forward to seeing some of the photographs after the event.

    Wishing you a scent-sational day!
